Ceramic Ware | Custom Orders Welcome!
Celebrate your love for animals with custom, hand-crafted ceramics that bring your favorite creatures to life; real and/or fantasy! Each piece is thoughtfully designed to capture the unique personality and essence of your pet or wildlife animals that inspire you. If you're looking for sculpted functional ware as items like bowls and mugs featuring animal motifs, let my craft be at your service. These one-of-a-kind pieces not only make for stunning décor but also help support causes dedicated to ending animal cruelty.
About the process:
Each piece is hand-crafted in my studio with variable turn-around production times. Your piece will be going through vigorous stages and will start with the appropriate materials used: Clay type, underglaze, and/or glaze.
In pottery making, the few methods I use to create my pieces are wheel throwing and hand building. Before a piece is bone dry, it is painted with underglaze and prepped for optional scraffito carving. The piece is then bisque fired at a low temperature in my pottery kiln and after it is refired at a higher temperature with a clear glaze on the surface. Alternatively, a piece does not have to have the painterly-step before bisquing and can simply be glaze fired alone but the important part is firing the clay to vitrification.
To help begin the process, please send me an inquiry with a detailed description of what you envision. I can give you a quote for the end product and you'll be expected to lock in your request with an upfront $50+tax charge that will go towards the cost of your piece.
This helps get me started for the first hour with that upfront cost going towards the total. After the project is complete I’ll send an invoice for “upfront cost + $25 per hour of work + Material Fee” and a complete gallery list of your piece for approval. Then I package and send out; keeping you a part of every step!
The rates I set help keep my studio afloat so I can keep on supporting our community's effort in sustainability and animal welfare. Please be patient with the process and I look forward to working with you!
